George Bianco (more commonly referred to as Moo-Pa) is the father of Manny Bianco and husband of Mary Bianco. In 2004, he and his wife were invited to Black Books to visit their son. Although George loves his son very much, he can be very awkward around around him, probably due to the fact that they have little in common. Manny just wants the best for his mother and father, and occasionally makes things up to try and make them happy.
George was born sometime in the early 20th century. Some time around 1950, he married Mary Bianco. He learnt to drive in 1964 and bought a Hillman car in 1966. In 1965, his wife gave birth to their son Manny. He briefly became an entrepreneur in 1972, and moved into a semi-detached house in 1976. He usually randomly shares these events with others.
In 2004, he and his wife were invited to Black Books to visit their son. Although they enjoyed the company of Manny, his boss Bernard and friend Fran, Bernard and Fran hated their presence and insisted they leave. Manny, who, like always, wanted the best for his parents, arranged to meet them back at their home rather than have them stay in the shop.
Manny Bianco Edit
Although George loves his son very much, he can be very awkward around around him, probably due to the fact that they have little in common. Like his mother, Manny just wants the best for his father, and usually makes things up just to make him happy. He once persuaded his parents that Fran was his girlfriend and that he was a partner in Black Books, however, he finally admitted to them that he was lying. It is suggested that Manny is closer to his mother than his father, as Manny rushes to hug his mother when he saw her, while he and his father greeted each other by tapping each other's back.
Mary Bianco Edit
Like Manny, George and his wife love each other very much, however, their sexual relationship has suffered over time. It seems they have a farly good relationship together, as they share a bed and also complement each other on their appearance.
- George is a masculine given name of Greek origin, and translates to 'farmer'.
- Bianco comes from the seaside town of Bianco in Calabria, Italy, famous for wine producing. This is a reference to Bernard, Manny and Fran's love of wine.
- George's name is never mentioned in the show, and is simply referred to as Moo-Pa. However, his first name is mentioned in a deleted scene on the Black Books Series 3 DVD.
